Efficient Ranking on Road Network by Quality Preferences
نویسنده
چکیده
A spatial preference query ranks objects based on the qualities of features in their spatial neighborhood. For example, consider a road network database with available paths for two points. A customer may want to rank the paths with respect to their distance defined after aggregating the qualities of other features (road condition, travelling time, traffic monitoring and road length) within a distance range. This ranking is obtained by range score and influence score function. Propose appropriate indexing techniques and search algorithms for computing the spatial preference queries on a road network. Extensive evaluation of our methods on both real and synthetic data reveals that an optimized branchand-bound solution is efficient and robust with respect to different parameters. Index Terms — Query processing, spatial databases.

Discrimination of Power Quality Distorted Signals Based on Time-frequency Analysis and Probabilistic Neural Network
Recognition and classification of Power Quality Distorted Signals (PQDSs) in power systems is an essential duty. One of the noteworthy issues in Power Quality Analysis (PQA) is identification of distorted signals using an efficient scheme. This paper recommends a Time–Frequency Analysis (TFA), for extracting features, so-called "hybrid approach", using incorporation of Multi Resolution Analysis...
متن کاملRanking Efficient DMUs in Two-stage Network DEA with Common Weights method
Two stages DEA models are used in many fields of management and industry. One of the concepts that has attracted the attention of researchers in the theory of production is the concept of ranking the units with a two-stage network. A unit ranking can provide useful information to decision makers (DMUs) about optimal decision making activities. This concept defines the superiority of a unit in t...

Monitoring the quality parameters of the river is very important in the management of surface water resources. One of the effective methods in this field is entropy theory which has a very good capability in designing quality monitoring network. In this research, discrete entropy theory has been studied and monitored in order to qualitatively evaluate the temporal and spatial frequencies of the...
متن کاملOptimal Coding Subgraph Selection under Survivability Constraint
Nowadays communication networks have become an essential and inevitable part of human life. Hence, there is an ever-increasing need for expanding bandwidth, decreasing delay and data transfer costs. These needs necessitate the efficient use of network facilities. Network coding is a new paradigm that allows the intermediate nodes in a network to create new packets by combining the packets recei...
متن کاملRanking Networks
Latent space models for network formation assume that nodes possess latent attributes that determine their propensity to connect. We propose a new model for network formation, ranking networks, in which these attributes are rankings over some space of alternatives. Such rankings may reflect user preferences, relevance/quality judgements, etc., while ranking networks capture correlations of, say...
